Pictures date from early 1930's

Pier head showing the old lighthouse known locally as the 'Pepper Pot'
(because of it's shape). This was the second lighthouse to be built the
first being destroyed by a storm in 1859's, rebuilt and then again destroyed
in 1937 it was eventually replaced by a light. The remains of the lighthouse
was dumped where the rocks are to-day
View across the village from Marine Terrace towards Traethgwyn
The building at three o'clock was an old sail makers building known
to-day as Captain's Rendezvous, not a lot of change over nearly 80 years
except the price of chip's

Taken from New Road towards Traethgwyn and Llanina Point
with Cei Bach coming into view just top of mid-centre
Harbour Slipway at low tide, again very little change over all these years.
The building left (Yacht Club) looks if through a extension was built
after this picture was taken.

This picture dates from early to mid 1950's again from a postcard and showing
a little bit more detail of the harbour slipway. The single story building at
10 o'clock was the old lifeboat station 1864 -1902 a former mortuary.
